In the early days of LPD's development as a door importer and distributor, our capability was primarily in the area of External Hardwood doors and today, even though our ranges are now dominated by Internal Doors, our External ranges remain an important and significant part of our ongoing development programme. These ranges include 44mm dowelled constuction, 44mm mortice & tenon construction, 44mm Hardwood and Oak doors with factory fitted insulated glass and more recently, the Classic range of traditional and new designs with a variety of glass options included.

All doors supplied by LPD (except those excluded from this guarantee, effective as at 1st November 2004) are guaranteed for 10 years from date of delivery, to be of good material and workmanship and free from defects which would render said doors unserviceable or unfit for the ordinary, recommended use.

This guarantee is made to the original purchaser and extends only to the first subsequent purchaser during the period of this guarantee. Please note that all modern doors a constructed of an engineered core with real timber veneers and solid timber lipping to all four edges.

Adoorable is a range name “borrowed” from a vacation to North Carolina and posted on a bill board at the end of Independence Boulevard. It has proved to be a resilient and enduring name tag for this exceptional range of Hardwood doors which are constructed predominantly by our long standing partners Permatadoor.

Renowned around the world as manufacturers of high quality Hardwood doors and ornamental insulated glazing units, which include fancy lead, zinc and brass effect cambs and bevelled clusters, Permatadoor have recently introduced wrought iron filigree effect panels, incorporating double glazed units, in the form of the Creedmore design.

Consequently, in response to changing market tastes and growing demand solid panel, double and triple glazed oak doors that beautifully compliment the diverse and constantly developing range of more traditionally styled insulated hardwood doors. Interesting, distinctive and in certain cases ornate glazing, individually tailored to be in total empathy with the respective model, remains not only a key design feature but also a huge factor in the enduring and unwavering success of this exceptional range.

Classic - Preglazed External Doors

An affordable range of traditional and newly introduced Hardwood door designs which have incorporated into them a variety of single glazed units.

The designs also utilise up to the minute coloured and textured foil effects, clear and coloured bevels and ABE leadwork. Only available as a double glazed option with bevels and brass cambs, makes the Acacia bevelled cluster the notable exception.

Warmer Door-External Part 'L'

In direct response to the increasing trend to improve the insulation of our homes in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy bills, LPD have introduced WARMER DOOR, a range of part 'L' compliant external doors. Fully factory finished with the acclaimed Sikkens finishing system, so that they can be purchased and hung as a replacement door.(NB: hinge,lock and letter plate cut outs, as well as planed edges must be re sealed to ensure the integrity of the door is maintained and the LPD guarantee is validate. What's more, because each model has been independently tested and certified to part 'L', WARMER DOOR can be specified on new building projects too.
